Women across Carmarthenshire experiencing perimenopause, menopause or post-menopause are being invited to join a new series of free, friendly and informative community sessions.
The new Let’s Talk Menopause sessions are being delivered through a partnership between Hywel Dda University Health Board and Carmarthenshire County Council. The fortnightly sessions will provide a welcoming and supportive space for participants to learn more about menopause, access practical information and share experiences.
The next session will take place on Tuesday 29 September 2026, with sessions continuing every other Tuesday from 6.30pm to 8pm at Nantgaredig Rugby Club, SA32 7LQ. All sessions are free to attend, with complimentary tea and coffee provided and free parking available.
Each session will begin with a short talk focusing on a different menopause-related topic, including symptoms, treatment options, nutrition, mental health, pelvic health, physical activity and self-care. Participants will then have the opportunity to chat, relax and connect with others in a supportive environment.
Kerry Phillips, Tywi Taf Cluster Lead at Hywel Dda University Health Board, said: “Menopause affects everyone differently, and having access to reliable information and local support can make a real difference to women’s wellbeing and confidence. This service will help women to explore the issues that matter most to them and feel empowered to make informed choices about their health.
“Community connections are incredibly important during times of change, and these sessions are designed to help women feel less isolated as they navigate this stage of life.”
Cllr Jane Tremlett, Cabinet Member at Carmarthenshire County Council, said:
“These sessions offer a chance for women to come together, learn more about topics linked to menopause and build connections with others who may be at a similar stage in their lives. We hope participants will find the sessions welcoming, informative and beneficial.”
The sessions are open to anyone experiencing perimenopause, menopause or post-menopause, regardless of where they are in their journey. Places should be booked in advance.
