All six Reform candidates for the Sir Gaerfyrddin Senedd constituency were actively involved in the day’s activity. They have been campaigning consistently for several weeks, meeting voters face-to-face across the county.
Reform UK’s firm commitments for Wales:
- We will save and strengthen the NHS, dramatically reduce waiting lists, and deliver the modern, high-quality healthcare service the people of Wales deserve.
- We will protect free prescriptions.
- We will champion small businesses – the true backbone of the Welsh economy and local communities.
Many of Reform’s candidates are themselves small business owners who understand firsthand the struggles local firms face. After 26 years of failed policies, high taxes, and burdensome red tape under successive Welsh governments, small businesses have been let down for far too long.
The response on the ground has been overwhelmingly positive. A clear message emerging from conversations in both towns is that many people who had previously given up on voting are now actively turning to Reform UK as a credible alternative.
This growing enthusiasm mirrors the wider picture across Reform UK Wales, where a large number of first-time candidates have stepped forward. They recognise that now is the time to speak up, or risk watching Wales slide further into decline.

Gareth Beer, Reform UK lead candidate for Sir Gaerfyrddin and Carmarthenshire Branch Chair, said:
“Reform UK is being very well received in both Carmarthen and Llanelli. In Carmarthen, people tend to be very clear and direct about their views, whether they support us or not. In Llanelli and the surrounding areas, we’re connecting strongly with those who had switched off from politics but now see Reform as the party worth getting behind.
“Our challenge between now and polling day is simple: speak to as many voters as possible. The good news is that people genuinely want to talk to us and we are eager to listen and respond.
“Every single day until 7 May, our members and candidates will be out door-knocking, canvassing, and campaigning right across the county. Our team is highly enthusiastic, our candidates are fully dedicated, and Reform supporters throughout Carmarthenshire are completely mobilised. We are determined to deliver real change for Wales.”
Gareth added:
“On the ground, the voters are ready for change. Those who had been put off for years are now ready to get behind us. Once people meet our candidates in person and realise we don’t have horns growing out of our heads, especially after how the media has consistently portrayed us, they are surprised and appreciate us taking the time to listen, speak to them and putting the record straight.
“This represents a genuine shift in Welsh politics. On 7 May, the people of Wales will have the opportunity to vote for real change and Reform UK is the only party positioned to deliver it at this time.”
