Hidden in the hills of Carmarthenshire, a peaceful volunteer‑run garden is preparing to welcome visitors. Skanda Vale Hospice near Llandysul will open its garden to the public on Saturday 12 September as part of the National Garden Scheme.
The garden — designed and maintained entirely by volunteers — offers a tranquil space filled with thoughtful planting and quiet corners to explore. Several volunteers will be on hand throughout the day to talk to visitors about the garden’s creation and about volunteering opportunities at the hospice.
- When: Saturday, 12th September 2026, 11am to 4:30pm
- Where: Skanda Vale Hospice, Saron, Llandysul, Carmarthenshire, SA44 5DY
- Entry: £3.50 for adults, free for children
- No booking needed: Just turn up on the day!
- Accessibility: Most garden areas are accessible with firm, level paths
- Accommodation: Available at nearby Skanda Hafan Guesthouse if you’d like to extend your visit to our beautiful corner of Wales
