Tributes paid to Blood Biker who tragically died in RTC near Llanddarog

The family of Andrew Rogers aged 61 from Hayscastle, wish to pay tribute to the beloved husband, father, son, brother, grandfather and uncle, who sadly passed away in hospital on Thursday 1 January 2026, following a road traffic collision on the A48 near Llanddarog on Monday 29 December, 2025.

The family said: “Andrew was volunteering as blood bike rider at the time, something he was deeply passionate about. Helping people and volunteering as street pastor for many years, Andrew had a strong Christian faith, with his life guided by his Lord Jesus.

“Andrew was a farmer his whole life and it was his passion. He was well known, loved, and respected within the farming community and extremely knowledgeable. Knowledge he passed down to his children and grandchildren over the years.

“Andrew will be remembered by his wife Tricia, daughter Julie, son and his partner Nathan and Penny, Mum Hilda, brother and sister-in-law Colin and Myra, grandchildren Cerys, Iwan, and Myfanwy, nieces and nephews Megan, Kiki, and Dominic, and the wider family and friends.”

The family now ask for privacy during this difficult time.

Officers continue to appeal for anyone who was travelling westbound on the A48 near Llanddarog just before 6pm on Monday 29 December, to get in touch:
