The following appeared before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on July 27th 2022.

46-year-old Aled Wyn Sadler of Gwynfa Carway Kidwelly

The court heard that on 04/02/2022 Sadler drove a motor vehicle, on a restricted road, namely A484 Cardigan Road, Newcastle Emlyn, at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour. Contrary to sections 81(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988. The speed recorded by means of laser was 35 miles per hour. The speed limit was signified by street lighting placed at less than 200 yard intervals.

Sadler pleaded guilty and was fined £66.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34.00. His driving record was endorsed with 3 points.

52-year-old Alan Dennis Lewis of Ynys Las Cefn Caeau Llanelli

The court heard that on 29/12/2021 at Llanelli Lewis drove a motor vehicle on a road, namely Dafen Road, Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, at a speed exceeding 20 miles per hour in contravention of a Local traffic Order, namely The County of Carmarthenshire (Dafen) (Imposition of 20 mph speed limit) order 2010, Contrary to the above Local Traffic Order and sections 84 and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988. The speed recorded by means of a Manned Camera Device was 29 miles per hour.

Lewis pleaded guilty and was fined £66 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34. His driving record was endorsed with 3 points.

21-year-old David Ryan Draper of Talbot Street Llanelli

The court heard that on 10/12/2021 at Carmarthenshire Draper drove a motor vehicle on a road, namely Capel Road, Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, at a speed exceeding 20 miles per hour in contravention of a Local traffic Order, namely The county of Carmarthenshire (North Llanelli) (Imposition of 20 mph speed limit) order 2013, Contrary to the above Local Traffic Order and sections 84 and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988. The speed recorded by means of laser was 28 miles per hour.

Draper pleaded guilty and was fined £76 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34 and costs of £110. His driving record was endorsed with 3 penalty points.

37-year-old Sean Stonelake of Hengoed Road Penpedairheol

The court heard that on 08/03/2022 at Safety Camera Unit,Pontypridd, having been required by or on behalf of the Chief Officer of Police for Dyfed-Powys Police, Stonelake failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle, who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence Contrary to section 172(3) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

Stonelake was fined £440 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £44 and costs of £110. His driving record was endorsed with 6 points.

Miss Jemma Louise Collings of Oldfield Place Hotwells Bristol

The court heard that on 16/01/2022 at Powys Collings drove a motor vehicle, on a restricted road, namely the A479 Talgarth to the roundabout near Bronllys, Powys, at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour Contrary to sections 81(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988. The speed recorded by means of Laser was 36 miles per hour. The speed limit was signified by street lighting placed at less than 200 yard intervals.

Collings pleaded guilty and was fined £138 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34 and to pay costs of £110. Collings was disqualified for holding or obtaining a driving licence for 6 month(s).

28-year-old Lianne Payne of Maes Pedr Carmarthen Carmarthenshire

The court heard that on 10/05/2022 at Safety Camera Unit,Pontypridd, having been required by or on behalf of the Chief Officer of Police for Dyfed-Powys Police, Payne failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle, who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence Contrary to section 172(3) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

Payne was fined £623 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £62 and to pay costs of £110. Her driving record endorsed with 6 points.

61-year-old Nicola Jane Bishop of The Farriers Bramley Guildford Surrey

The court heard that on 12/02/2022 at St Clears drove a motor vehicle, and failed to comply with the indication given by solid white line road markings outlined in diagram 1013.1 or diagram 1013.5 of Schedule 9 to the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016, lawfully placed on a road, namely A477 Llanddowror St Clears Carmarthenshire Contrary to section 36(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1988, Schedule 9 to the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

Bishop pleaded guilty

On 12/02/2022 at St Clears drove a motor vehicle, on a single carriageway road, namely the A477 Llanddowror St Clears Carmarthenshire, at a speed exceeding 60 miles per hour Contrary to article 3b of the 70 Miles Per Hour, 60 Miles Per Hour and 50 Miles Per Hour (Temporary Speed Limit) Order 1977, section 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988. The speed recorded by means of laser was 74 miles per hour.

Bishop was fined £289.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34.00 and to pay costs of £90.00. Her driving record was endorsed with 3 points.

34-year-old Timothy Concar of Bron Llethi Llanarth Ceredigion

The court heard that on 12/02/2022 at Aberaeron used a motor vehicle, on a road, or other public place, namely Bus stop. A487 Alban Square Aberaeron Ceredigion, when there was not in force in relation to that use such a policy of insurance or such a security in respect of third party risks as complied with the requirements of Part VI of the Road Traffic Act 1988 Contrary to section 143 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

Concar was fined £660.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £66.00 and to pay costs of £90.00. His driving record was endorsed with 6 points.

The court also heard that at 18:07 hours on 12/02/2022 the defendant drove on Bus stop. A487 Alban Square Aberaeron Ceredigion otherwise than in accordance with a licence for that class of motor vehicle in that he was a provisional licence holder driving with no appropriate supervisor and no ‘L’ plates on the vehicle. There was no separate penalty.

22-year-old Liam Stephen Harries of Llwyndu Cottages Pantyfynnon Ammanford

The court heard that on 17/12/2021 at 12:19 hours on 17/12/2021 the Harries drove on a road namely Tycroes Primary School, Pontarddulais Road, Ammanford, Carmarthenshire otherwise than in accordance with a licence for that class of motor vehicle in that it was not displaying a front L plate.Contrary to section 87(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

Harries was fined £220.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34.00 and to pay costs of £90.00. His driving record was endorsed with 3 points.

58-year-old David Hird of Denrhiw Cwmduad Llandysul Carmarthenshire

The court heard that on 21/02/2022 at Cardigan Hird used on a road, namely the A487 Cardigan Ceredigion, a vehicle, on which not every stop lamp operated. Contrary to regulation 23(1) of the Road Vehicles Lighting Regulations 1989, section 42 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

Hird was fined £220.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34.00and to pay costs of £90.00

Dylan Jones of Five Arches Pelcomb Bridge Haverfordwest

The court heard that on 13/02/2022 at Haverfordwest Jones used a motor vehicle, on a road, or other public place, namely Hawthorn Rise Haverfordwest Pembrokeshire, when there was not in force in relation to that use such a policy of insurance or such a security in respect of third party risks as complied with the requirements of Part VI of the Road Traffic Act 1988 Contrary to section 143 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

Jones was fined £440.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £44.00 and to pay costs of £90.00. His driving record was endorsed with 6 points.

26-year-old Nathan David B Jones of Haven Drive Hakin Milford Haven,

The court heard that on 21/02/2022 at Pembroke Dock Jones used on a road, namely the A477 Llanion Cemetery, Pembroke Dock, Pembrokeshire , a motor vehicle, when the front nearside wheel was fitted with a pneumatic tyre which had the ply or cord exposed Contrary to regulation 27(1)(e)) of the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986, section 41A of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

On 21/02/2022 at Pembroke Dock Jones used a motor vehicle, on a road, or other public place, namely the A477 Llanion Cemetery Pembroke Dock Pembrokeshire>, when there was not in force in relation to that use such a policy of insurance or such a security in respect of third party risks as complied with the requirements of Part VI of the Road Traffic Act 1988 Contrary to section 143 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988. At 23:32 hours on 21/02/2022 Jones used a vehicle, when there was no insurance in force covering that use of the vehicle.

Jones was fined £120.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34.00 and to pay costs of £90.00.

36-year-old Jodie Louise Stait of The Crescent, Pennar Pembroke Dock

The court heard that on 12/02/2022 at Pembroke Dock Stait used a motor vehicle, on a road, or other public place, namely Military Road Pembroke Dock Pembrokeshire, when there was not in force in relation to that use such a policy of insurance or such a security in respect of third party risks as complied with the requirements of Part VI of the Road Traffic Act 1988 Contrary to section 143 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988. At 14:57 hours on 12/02/2022 the defendant used a vehicle, on Military Road Pembroke Dock Pembrokeshire when there was no insurance in force covering that use of the vehicle.

Stait was fined £660.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £66.00 and to pay costs of £90.00. Her Driving record was endorsed with 6 points.

55-year-old Dean Coughlan of Clyne Court Sketty Swansea

The court heard that on 16/01/2022 at Carmarthenshire Coghlan drove a motor vehicle on a road, namely Capel Road, Llanelli North, Carmarthenshire, at a speed exceeding 20 miles per hour in contravention of a Local traffic Order, namely The county of Carmarthenshire (North Llanelli) (Imposition of 20 mph speed limit) order 2021, Contrary to the above Local Traffic Order and sections 84 and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988. At 10:35 hours on 16/01/2022 the Coughlan drove on Capel Road, Llanelli North, Carmarthenshire at a speed exceeding the legal limit of 20 miles per hour. The speed recorded by means of Laser was 33 miles per hour.

Coughlan was fined £440.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £44.00 and to pay costs of £90.00. Coughlan was disqualified for holding or obtaining a driving licence for 6 month(s).

37-year-old Daniel Millard of Pantllydu Fawr Felinfoel Llanelli

The court heard that on 24.02.2022 at Safety Camera Unit,Pontypridd, having been required by or on behalf of the Chief Officer of Police for Dyfed-Powys Police, Millard failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle, who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence Contrary to section 172(3) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988. On 24.02.2022 at Safety Camera Unit,Pontypridd, Millard having been required by or on behalf of the Chief Officer of Police for Dyfed-Powys Police, failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle, who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.

Millard was fined £660.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £66.00 and to pay costs of £90.00. Millard was disqualified for holding or obtaining a driving licence for 6 month(s).

Mr Jason Wright of Watch House Parade Newport Gwent

The court heard that on 12/01/2022 at Carmarthenshire Wright used a motor vehicle, on a road, or other public place, namely the A40 Crosshands Roundabout Crosshands, when there was not in force in relation to that use such a policy of insurance or such a security in respect of third party risks as complied with the requirements of Part VI of the Road Traffic Act 1988. Contrary to section 143 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988. At 14:40 On 12/01/2022 the Wright used a vehicle, on the A40 Crosshands Roundabout Crosshands when there was no insurance in force covering that use of the vehicle.

Wright was fined £660.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £66.00 and to pay costs of £90.00.

Wright was disqualified for holding or obtaining a driving licence for 6 month(s).
