Criminal Damage

Today (13th December), Carmarthenshire Magistrates’ Court heard that 32-year-old Sion Mclaughlin of Ammanford had, without lawful excuse, caused criminal damage to a property in Ammanford. The court heard that a door and window had been damaged. This was the first hearing of the case. Further court hearings on this case are set to take place and a verdict is yet to be made.

Assault

The Court heard that 34-year-old Jonathan Clarke of Ammanford assaulted a woman on the 27th of May 2023. The crime cited in the hearing was assault by beating. This was the first hearing of the case. Further court hearings on this case are set to take place and a verdict is yet to be made.

Criminal Damage

Carmarthenshire Magistrates’ Court heard that 20-year-old Jac Jones of Carmarthen, without lawful excuse, caused criminal damage at a property on Job’s Well Road. It was heard that a television to the value of £389.99 belonging to the property was damaged. This was the first hearing of the case. Further court hearings on this case are set to take place and a verdict is yet to be made.

Road Collision

The Court heard that on the 12th of May 2023, 63-year-old Angela Aston of Llandeilo caused damage to another vehicle in the Carmarthen area whilst driving without due care and attention. Furthermore, on colliding with the third-party vehicle, the accused failed to stop following the road accident. This was the first hearing of the case. Further court hearings on this case are set to take place and a verdict is yet to be made.

Driver/Pedestrian Collision

Carmarthenshire Magistrates’ Court heard that on the 16th of May 2023, 76-year-old Hywel George Makepeace of Pembrokeshire drove a vehicle in a public place without due care and attention. The court heard that on exiting Market Street to Bridge Street in Aberaeron, the defendant collided with a pedestrian crossing the road, impacting her hip. The court heard that after the first impact, the defendant collided with her a second time, impacting her knee. The defendant then travelled over her ankle, causing the pedestrian to fall into the carriageway. The pedestrian sustained slight injuries comprising compression injures to her right foot, ankle and lower leg and pain to her back and hip are. Gravel was sited in cuts to her hands and knees.

This was the first hearing of the case. Further court hearings on this case are set to take place.
