We very much hope you can attend. Our officers will be on hand to answer any questions and show some up-to-date images of where we are with the development work and what to expect in readiness for the opening in Spring 2025.

The purpose of the event is to provide updates on Canolfan, Pentre Awel as well as provide an overview of the vision, concept and opportunities. Pentre Awel is 1 of 9 projects funded by Swansea Bay City Deal and led by Carmarthenshire County Council. It is situated in Llanelli, Carmarthenshire.

The concept and vision of Canolfan is to provide opportunities for health care delivery, related research and innovation, education and training alongside facilities which support and encourage people to lead an active and healthy lifestyle.

There are also accommodation opportunities for new and existing businesses which support the overall vision.

Carmarthenshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Leisure, Culture and Tourism, Cllr Hazel Evans commented:

“Anyone who has a vested interest in Pentre Awel should attend one of the drop-in sessions and speak to the Pentre Awel team who will be able to answer your questions. Engaging with the public is essential to the Pentre Awel project to ensure that the local community continues to be at the heart of this innovative, one-of-a-kind, development”.
