Dyfed-Powys Police statement following inquest into death of Spencer Beynon

BELOW is a statement following the conclusion of the inquest into the death of Spencer Beynon in Llanelli.

A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesman said:

“The Chief Constable recognises the conclusions reached in the Coroner’s Court in respect of the death of Spencer Beynon.

“It is recognised that the events of the evening of the death of Spencer Beynon were traumatic for all concerned at the scene and thereafter for the family and friends who still grieve his loss.

“It is also recognised that the jury, having heard considerable evidence in the inquest endorsed the reasonableness of the actions of the police officers who attended the scene and were faced with very challenging circumstances.

“The inquest having concluded the Chief Constable offers condolences to the family and friends of the late military service veteran, Mr Spencer Beynon.”
