Indie News Week set to begin next week, celebrating Independent Journalism

FROM the 3rd-9th of June, we are taking part in the Indie News Week, a unique and exciting event that shines a spotlight on the unsung heroes of local journalism and the independent news companies working tirelessly to produce high-quality, community-driven news.

For one week, we’ll be gathering at our Office in Cynwyl Elfed for an opening event to bring together the best of local news, featuring podcasting exercises, workshops on news gathering, and networking opportunities with press offices and fellow news enthusiasts. Our event is designed to foster connections, spark creativity, and celebrate the dedication and passion of independent news organisations.

Throughout the week, you’ll have the chance to:

• Participate in hands-on workshops on topics like multimedia storytelling, social media management, and podcasting
• Network with fellow journalists, editors, and community leaders from around the region
• Learn about innovative storytelling approaches and best practices from experienced industry professionals
• Enjoy exclusive screenings of local news stories and documentaries
