Merched y Wawr donates £375 each to Bronglais Chemotherapy Unit

MERCHED y Wawr Felinfach has donated £375 each to the Chemotherapy Day Unit and the Cardiology Unit at Bronglais Hospital.

To raise the funds, Megan Richards, a member of Merched y Wawr Felinfach, opened up her home and made a meal for other members of the club.

Delyth Davies, President of Merched y Wawr Felinfach, said: “The money donated to both units is an appreciation of their work and the care received by some of the members and their families.

“We as a branch are very grateful to Megan for her kindness and willingness to open her home for charity.”

Nicola Llewelyn, Head of Hywel Dda Health Charities, the official charity of Hywel Dda University Health Board, said: “The support of our local communities enables us to provide services over and above what the NHS can provide and we are extremely grateful for every donation we receive.”
