Plans for new dentist in Prestatyn could put smiles on resident’s faces if given the go-ahead

A North Wales town could soon have a new dentist.  Applicant K. Rees has applied to Denbighshire County Council’s planning department to create the new practice.

They are seeking permission to change a former shop to a dental surgery at 5 Nant Hall Road in Prestatyn.

If the application gets the go-ahead, it could create five full-time jobs and one part-time job at the new business.

The application includes plans for a new entrance canopy and a front boundary wall, as well as replacement windows. The existing shop includes a shop and office area, but the applicant wants to renovate the building.

The new dental surgery will have a reception area, a waiting area, and toilets on the ground floor, together with a staff room and staff toilets at the rear of the building. On the first floor there will be a further three surgery rooms and a decontamination room.

The second floor will have a ‘compressor room’.

According to the plans on Denbighshire’s website, current timber finishes will be upgraded from timber to UPVC. The plans have been designed by Ruthin-based d2 Architects.

The application will be considered by planners at Denbighshire council.
