The sun and accompanying weather made for a spectacular day on Sunday 18th of May when Walking Football over 50s-60s-70s teams from England and the Celtic Nations world of Football initiative came together from across the country to compete in a tournament at the Underhill Hub in Mumbles, Swansea.

The tournament was a significant event in the walking football calendar. This tournament brought together teams from Wales, Scotland, Ireland, and Cornwall, showcasing the growing popularity and competitive spirit of walking football across the Celtic nations.
While there were many wins, losses and draws between both England and the Celtic Nations, the Three Lions narrowly won the overall trophies in closely fought matches for each age group.
The Celtic Nations Walking Football initiative encompasses teams from Wales, Scotland, Ireland, and Cornwall. This collaborative effort aims to promote the sport and provide opportunities for players over 40, 50, and 60 years old. The initiative is one of the oldest organisations of its kind globally, offering representative football in various formats, including 11-a-side, 5/6/7-a-side, futsal, and beach football.
