Two arrested following vehicle interference reports

TWO men have been arrested following reports of vehicle interferences in the Gwynedd North area.

Over the weekend we received four reports of vehicle interference in the Tregarth and Deiniolen areas.

On Monday evening (July 31), we received a further report of a theft from a vehicle in the Bangor area.

Following officer enquiries, a 41-year-old and a 51-year-old were arrested on suspicion of going equipped and theft from motor vehicles. They remain in police custody whilst our enquiries continue.

Sergeant Ben Pugh said: “We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in these areas in recent days, or who may potentially have ring doorbell or dashcam footage of the incidents to contact us.”

“I encourage residents to consider the security of their vehicles when leaving them overnight. Always ensure they are locked and that any valuable items are removed.

“I would also advise residents in these areas to check their vehicles. If you suspect entry has been gained or any items may have been taken contact police via our website or by calling 101.”

Anyone with information about these incidents can contact police via our website or by calling 101, quoting reference number 23000697545.
