Responding to the latest press release by Covid-19 Bereaved Families for Justice Cymru, Welsh Liberal Democrat Leader Jane Dodds MS said:
“This is yet the latest piece of evidence demonstrating there are major shortcomings to this inquiry when it comes to Wales and showing that Wales should have had its own COVID inquiry.
“Voices from Wales deserve to be heard and those in power in Wales held to account for decisions made in Wales.
“It isn’t too late for Mark Drakeford to do the right thing and set up a Welsh-specific COVID inquiry. If they were truly a party of devolution they would not be afraid to allow decisions made in Wales to be properly examined.”
