20-year-old learner driver fined for driving unsupervised

A 20-year-old man from Milford Haven has been fined for driving unsupervised  on a provisional licence.

Llanelli Magistrates’ Court heard  that on 24/02/2023, 20-year-old Connor Lewis Babb of Milford Haven drove a motor vehicle, on a road, namely Golden Hill, Pembroke in Pembrokeshire whilst holding a provisional licence which did not authorise him to drive unsupervised. The court heard that Mr. Babb did not have a supervisory driver and was not displaying  L plates  on the vehicle contrary to section 87(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1988.

Babb was fined £220.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge of £88 to fund victim services and costs of £90.00. Babb’s driving record was endorsed with 3 points.
