Following his recent conviction of multiple thefts of pedal cycle offences, Ryan Marquardt, 29, from Butetown, was given a 26-week sentence suspended for 12 months and issued with a three-year Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, August 20.
Marquardt must also complete a drug rehabilitation requirement. Marquardt stole several bikes worth thousands of pounds across the Cardiff area over a sixth month period.
As part of the CBO, Moore must not enter or remain in any designated bicycle storage area, bicycle rack, cycle compound or similar facility provided for the parking or securing of pedal cycles at the following locations:

Cardiff University sites (land including Postgraduate Centre, John Percival Building, Aberconway Building and Arts & Social Science Library)
Colum Drive
Unite Students Accommodation (Cambrian Point, Severn Point, Blackweir Lodge)
Maindy Road, Blackweir Terrace
Hodge Hall halls of residence
Wyeverne Road University of South Wales, Treforest Campus
Cathays High School, Crown Way
Maindy Leisure Centre, Crown Way

He is also required to not ride on or be in possession of any bicycle or pedal cycle in the city centre of Cardiff.
The aim of a CBO is to prevent crime and protect the community, local workers, and members of the public from continued distress, disruption, and potential harm.
