Outspoken Women hold banner protest over ‘transing’ children and men in women’s spaces

A group of protesters have hung banners over roads in Carmarthenshire as part of a protest against the ‘transing’ of children and men in women’s spaces.

The group, Outspoken Women placed banners over the roadway on the A48 near Carmarthen and at Pensarn.

It is understood that Dyfed-Powys Police attended the locations to remove the banners from the bridges with one officer on video claiming that the banners would offend some people.

One member of the group said: “I had displayed a banner on a bridge on Heol Bolahaul Road over the A48 approach road to Carmarthen from Swansea. I was standing with my banner which was securely attached with cable ties to the bridge. An officer came along with a blue light flashing. He got out of his vehicle and told me he was going to remove my banner because “some people might find it offensive”. No other reason was given, I was not told I had not broken any law. He did not introduce himself, he did not display his identification number. I offered to remove the banner and take it away – this would have avoided damaging my property.”

Another placed a banner over the Pensarn Bridge at around 4pm.

A spokesperson said: “The banners were placed by women who were objecting to trans ideology, specifically “transing” children, and men in women’s spaces, sports, hospital wards etc. Women are fighting back.”
