Tîm o chwech yn codi £4,000 ar gyfer Apêl Cemo Bronglais

Trefnodd chwe codwr arian o Lanon noson bingo a bore coffi gan godi dros £4,000 ar gyfer Apêl Cemo Bronglais.

Y codwyr arian oedd Nia Wyn Harries, ei mam Janet Jones, ei nain Anita Jones a’i hen Fodryb Dilys Jones, ynghyd â Nia Roberts a’i modryb Mary Lewis.

Dywedodd Nia Wyn Harries, 31: “Mae gennym ni gyd berthnasau sydd wedi cael canser ac mae rhai ohonyn nhw wedi cael cemotherapi yn Ysbyty Bronglais. Roedden ni eisiau codi ychydig o arian i’r Apêl am uned ddydd cemotherapi newydd i ddweud diolch am y gofal.

“Mae canser yn effeithio ar bawb a gyda nifer y cleifion yn cynyddu mae’n bwysig bod gennym ni uned bwrpasol gyda mwy o breifatrwydd ac un sy’n lleol.”

“Fe wnaethon ni gynnal noson bingo a bore coffi yn nhafarn y White Swan, sy’n cael ei rhedeg gan fy mrawd, Dylan Jones. Roeddent yn ddigwyddiadau cymunedol gwych a chawsom gefnogaeth wych,” ychwanegodd Nia, sy’n Swyddog Gweinyddol i’r Mudiad Meithrin.

“Rydym am ddiolch i bawb a helpodd gyda’r ddau ddigwyddiad, y rhai a gyfrannodd wobrau raffl, y bobl a ddaeth draw a’r White Swan am ei gynnal.”

Cynhaliodd Ysgol Llanon hefyd wasanaeth diolchgarwch y cynhaeaf gan gyfrannu £150 o’r digwyddiad hwnnw i’r cyfanswm.

Dywedodd Nicola Llewelyn, Pennaeth Elusennau Iechyd Hywel Dda, elusen swyddogol Bwrdd Iechyd Prifysgol Hywel Dda: “Rydym yn ddiolchgar i grŵp codi arian Llanon ac Ysgol Llanon am eu cefnogaeth ac i bawb arall sydd wedi cyfrannu at yr Apêl.

“Rydym yn falch iawn o adrodd bod yr Apêl bellach wedi pasio ei tharged. Fodd bynnag, o ystyried yr hinsawdd economaidd bresennol, rydym yn rhagweld y bydd costau adeiladu yn cynyddu. Bydd pob ceiniog a godir, gan gynnwys rhoddion yn y dyfodol, felly yn mynd yn uniongyrchol i gronfa’r Apêl, gydag unrhyw arian dros ben yn cael ei ddefnyddio i gefnogi’r rhai yr effeithir arnynt gan ganser ar draws Ceredigion a chanolbarth Cymru.”

Six fundraisers from Llanon organised a bingo night and a coffee morning and raised more than £4,000 for the Bronglais Chemo Appeal.

The fundraisers were Nia Wyn Harries, her mum Janet Jones, her grandmother Anita Jones and her great Aunt Dilys Jones, along with Nia Roberts and her auntie Mary Lewis.

Nia Wyn Harries, 31, said: “We all have relatives who have had cancer and some of them have had chemotherapy at Bronglais Hospital. We wanted to raise some money for the Appeal for a new chemotherapy day unit to say thank you for the care.

“Cancer affects everyone and with the number of patients rising it is important we have a purpose-built unit with more privacy and one that is local.”

“We held a bingo night and a coffee morning at the White Swan pub, which is run by my brother, Dylan Jones. They were great community events and we had brilliant support,” added Nia, who is an Admin Officer for Mudiad Meithrin.

“We want to thank everyone who helped with the two events, those who donated raffle prizes, the people who came along and the White Swan for hosting.”

Llanon School also held a harvest thanksgiving service and donated £150 from that event to the total.
Nicola Llewelyn, Head of Hywel Dda Health Charities, the official charity of Hywel Dda University Health Board, said: “We are grateful to the Llanon fundraising group and Llanon School for their support and to everyone else who has donated to the Appeal.

“We are delighted to report that the Appeal has now passed its target. However, given the current economic climate, we predict that construction costs will increase. Every penny raised, including future donations, will therefore go directly to the Appeal fund, with any surplus funds used to support those affected by cancer across Ceredigion and mid Wales.”
