Dog owner to pay £1124.60 for failing to comply with public spaces order

52-year-old Ela Jane Davies of The Ashes, Meinciau Kidwelly appeared before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on Friday (Jul 14) after  failing to comply with a requirement to which she was subject under a public spaces order made on 09/06/2016 as
extended. Contrary to section 67(1), (2) and 68 of the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014.

The court heard that on 26/12/2022 at Meinciau, Kidwelly Namely Part 1, in that Davies as a person in
charge of a dog at a time when that dog defecated on land to which this part of the said order applied, failed to remove the faeces from that land forthwith.

The case was proved in Davies’s absence. Davies was fined £220 and ordered to pay  a surcharge to fund victim services of £88 and costs of £818.60.
