From the courts September 29th

The following people appeared before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (Sep 29).

19-year-old Hannah Roberts of Corporation Close, Llanelli

The court heard that on 17/12/2021 at Llanelli Roberts assaulted another female by beating her.
Contrary to section 39 of the Criminal Justice Act 1988.

Roberts was made the subject of a community order and must comply with the following requirements by 28/09/2023: Curfew Requirement with Electronic Monitoring: Be under a curfew for 8 weeks with electronic monitoring. Start date 29/09/2022. Start time 18:00. End date 23/11/2022. End time 23:59. Curfew details: To remain indoors at Corporation Close, Llanelli between 6pm and 6am daily – to be electronically monitored.

Roberts was ordered to pay compensation of £100.00, a surcharge to fund victim services of £114.00 and costs of £330.00 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

41-year-old Barry Rhys Llewellyn of no fixed abode

The court heard that Llewelyn Failed without reasonable excuse to comply with the supervision requirements imposed following release from a period of imprisonment in that he failed to report as directed for appointments on 13/09/2022, 20/09/2022 and 27/09/2022. In accordance with section 256AC of the Criminal Justice Act 2003.

A warrant of arrest was issued and execution of the warrant was allocated to Police.

54-year-old Mr Christopher Pullen of High Street, Welshpool

The court heard that on 05/03/2022 at Powys Pullen used a motor vehicle, on a road, or other public place, namely the A483 Welshpool, when there was not in force in relation to that use such a policy of insurance or such a security in respect of third party risks as complied with the requirements of Part VI of the Road Traffic Act 1988 Contrary to section 143 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

The case was proved using a Single Justice Procedure.

Pullen was fined £660.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £66.00 and costs of £90.00. He was also disqualified for holding or obtaining a driving licence for 6 month(s).
