Llanelli Christmas Carnival a resounding success

The recent Llanelli Christmas Carnival proved to be another resounding success, culminating in a spectacular fireworks display that lit up the winter sky.

Organised by Carmarthenshire County Council in collaboration with Roger Bowen from the Llanelli Round Table, the event showcased an impressive array of floats, generously contributed by local businesses, community groups, and organisations, each displaying their unique festive spirit.

Families gathered in droves, their hearts warmed by the lively atmosphere filled with laughter, music, and the enticing aroma of seasonal treats from food stalls. Children, captivated by the twinkling lights and festive decorations, eagerly shared their Christmas wishes with Father Christmas as he made a special appearance, further amplifying the sense of community and joy that enveloped the event.

The heartfelt engagement of local residents, who turned out to celebrate together, underscored the strong community spirit that characterises Llanelli, making the evening not just a beautiful celebration of the holiday season, but also a cherished moment of unity and togetherness among friends and neighbours.
