Cardiff man jailed for possession with intent to supply Class A Drugs

A Cardiff man was jailed for 3 years for possession with intent to supply Class A Drugs.

Officers were on patrol in Cardiff City Centre on October 4 2023 during the patrol, Gareth Willaims 39 from Riverside in Cardiff, was observed conducting what was believed to be drug exchanges. Williams was detained by Officers and was found to be in possession of 6 wraps of class A controlled drugs (a mix of both ‘crack’ cocaine and heroin), a black Nokia burner phone and over £200 cash. The defendant was arrested for possession with intent to supply.

A section 18 search commenced at his home address in Riverside where some more class A drugs were found, as well as some cannabis and a hunting knife.

The mobile phone that Williams had on his person was also confirmed as a drug line that was sending out text messages advertising the supply of class A drugs.

Gareth Williams was sentenced on March 22nd to 3 years imprisonment.
