Ceredigion Council partner with Keep Wales Tidy to set up Litter Picking Hubs

Ceredigion County Council has partnered with Keep Wales Tidy to set up these hubs to have a positive impact on our communities.

The Litter Picking Hubs are located in the Council’s libraries in Aberaeron, Aberystwyth, Cardigan and Lampeter. The Hubs have all the equipment needed to carry out a safe clean-up: litter pickers, hi-vis vests, rubbish bags and hoops.

Councillor Matthew Vaux, Cabinet Member with responsibility for Public Protection, said: “These litter picking hubs will enable more people to get involved locally in helping to reduce litter and make Ceredigion a healthier and cleaner environment to live in. Hopefully, it will encourage even more of us to become volunteer litter pickers.”

Individuals, families, community groups and businesses can borrow the litter picking equipment for free.

To book to use the equipment, complete the online booking form on our website

at www.ceredigion.gov.uk/resident/bins-recycling/volunteer-litter-picking/request

and collect the equipment from your chosen hub.
