Teenage girls arrested after car crashes through window of Gorseinon optician

A car ended up inside the shop of a Gorseinon optician on Friday evening.

It is believed that two teenage girls were in the vehicle at the time.

The girls 15 and 16 have been arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking and have been held in police custody.

The younger girl has also been arrested on suspicion of driving a motor vehicle while over the legal alcohol limit.

The optician ‘Gorseinon Eye Centre posted on their Facebook page: “Due to an incident we will not be open on Saturday 19th March. At this time we are unable to access our appointment diary so apologise to anyone who has an appointment that we have not been able to contact.”

The shop window has now been boarded up.
