“Bont can lay claim to having A Superstar In The Tribute World after local girl, Pauline Kaytanua Wood lifted the Coveted Trophy For Best Tribute Award in The Welsh Regional Entertainment Awards back In February At The Dolman Theatre In Newport.
On November 26th at The Grays Civic Centre in Essex to win at the NATIONAL Entertainment Awards and won “The Professional Impact Award 2023”. It was a massive achievement and Pauline also pressed The Golden Buzzer on the day Making her A Double Winner over two ceremonies.
She will now be heading to The 02 In London where she will be performing and competing with other great talent from around the country.
Pauline from St Teilo Street Pontarddulais started performing to audiences over 25years ago and performing Tributes Shows 12 years ago first as Shirley Bassey then Tina Turner and Freddie Mercury and she says she has never looked back.
Pauline said that she loves portraying these artistes I love but In my own way so that the audiences really see not just Tina but myself portraying my love for Tina in my own way.
I can’t thank the audiences enough as they have made me feel on top of the world every time I perform.
Speaking about the win Pauline said: “Ironically it was Tina Turners Birthday. I Won Tge Professional Impact Award 2023 Over 2 Ceremonies and Now I Am Through To The O2 on November 2024. i just couldn’t believe it.
“My Partner Clive Morris takes my photographs and makes the videos when I perform. Clive has stood by me and enclosed me for so many years. I’d like to thank Lee Knell who is the organiser of these massive awards and the man who noticed The videos I put on Social media back in 2023. He and gave me the opportunity to be in a voting poll originally and then I won The Welsh Regional Entertainment Awards in February. Thanks also to the fabulous host James Grant who really gives the show such a Professional Touch.”
