Carmarthenshire woman fined for failing to identify driver alleged to have been guilty of an offence

44-year-old Laura Wickham of Coed y Dderwen, Cwmgwili appeared before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court on September 21st.

The court heard that on 01/05/2023 at safety camera Pontypridd having been required by or on behalf of the Chief Officer of Police for Dyfed-Powys, Wickham failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence. Contrary to section 172(3) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

The case was proved using a Single Justice Procedure.

Wickham was fined £660.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £264.00 and costs of £90.00. Her driving record endorsed with 6 points.
