TICKETS are selling fast for Swansea council’s annual firework display.
Hundreds of the affordable tickets – starting at just £10 for a family of five – have been sold.
Thousands of people are expected at the St Helen’s sports ground to watch the spectacular Night at the Movies themed display this Sunday.
Council cabinet member Robert Francis-Davies said: “I encourage those planning to attend to snap up their tickets as soon as possible and take advantage of the advance ticket offer.”
Gates open at 5pm. Show times are subject to change but key moments include: 17.00 and 19.20 – Penclawdd Brass Band; 17.35 – Anna & Elsa performance and chat; 18.00 – music from the movies; 19.00 – fireworks; 20.00 – close.
Roads are expected to be busy before and after the event so please allow extra time for travel.
Road closures will be kept to a minimum to limit inconvenience. Alternative routes will be signposted.
The ground will have an accessible viewing area with disabled toilet facilities. Other disabled toilets will be available too.
If it rains it is intended that the event will still go ahead. If the weather becomes too windy or if visibility reduces due to cloud or fog then the timings may change. The council will publicise any changes on social media.
