Breach of court order results in fine for man from Bryn Siriol

32-year-old Scott Samuel of Bryn Siriol Llanelli has been fined for breaching a court order.

The court heard that Samuel had commited a further offence while the subject of a conditional discharge order for a period of 12 months imposed on 11/07/2023 for using threatening or abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour within the hearing or sight of a person likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress thereby. Contrary to section 5(1) and of the Public Order Act 1986. 63AC1080523.

Samuel admitted the breach and was fined £180

Carmarthen man fined for using vehicle without insurance

22-year-old Mustafa Ahmad Al Dalli of Priory Street, Carmarthen appeared before Llanelli Magistrates’ Court charged with using a vehicle with no insurance.

The court heard that on 08/02/2023 at Carmarthenshire Dalli used a motor vehicle, on a road, or other public place, namely Priory Street when there was not in force in relation to that use such a policy of insurance Contrary to section 143 of, the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to, the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

The case was proved using a Single Justice Procedure

Dalli was fined £660.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £264.00 and costs of £90.00. His driving record endorsed with 6 points.

Speeding cost Aberystwyth man £266

A 65-year-old man from Aberystwyth has had to pay £266 for speeding.

Llanelli Magistrates’ Cour heard that on 29/01/2023 at Powys 65-year-old Martin Charles Clements of Woodside, Aberystwyth drove a motor vehicle on a restricted road, namely A489, Churchstoke at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour. The speed recorded by means of laser was 40 miles per hour. The speed limit was signified by street lighting placed at less than 200 yard intervals. Contrary to sections 81(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

Clements was fined £126.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £50.00 and costs of £90.00. His driving record endorsed with 3 points.

Blue lights cost Shrewsbuty man £294

A man who drove a vehicle with blue lights you would expect to see on an emergency vehicle has had to pay £294 after appearing at Llanelli Magistrates’ Court.

The court heard that on 08/02/2023 20-year-old James Davies of Rose Cottages Shrewsbury permitted the use on a road, namely the A483 Welshpool bypass a vehicle which was not fitted with white headlights which complied with regulation 18(1) of the Road Vehicles Lighting Regulations 1989 in that the headlight bulbs were blue with small white flashing LED lights like you would expect to see on an emergency vehicle. Contrary to regulation 18(1)of the Road Vehicles Lighting Regulations 1989, section 42 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

Davies was fined £146.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £58.00 and costs of £90.00.

Driving with No insurance cost Carmarthen man £1,014

24-year-old Jaydn Delaney of Ross Avenue, Carmarthen appeared before Llanelli Magistrates Court on September 13th.

The court heard that on 09/02/2023 at Carmarthenshire Delaney used a motor vehicle, namely on a road, or other public place, namely Pentrefelin Street when there was not in force in relation to that use such a policy of insurance covering that use of the vehicle. Contrary to section 143 of, the Road Traffic Act 1988 and Schedule 2 to, the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

The case was proved using a Single Justice Procedure

Delaney was fined £660.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £264.00 and costs of £90.00 His driving record endorsed with 8 points.

Llansadwrn Man to pay £556 for speeding

60-year-old Philip Wayne Duncan of The Barn, Llansadwrn has to pay £556 after been found guilty of speeding on a Carmarthenshire road.

The court heard that on 08/02/2023 at Carmarthenshire Duncan drove a motor vehicleon a restricted road, namely the A476 Carmel, Gorslas at a speed exceeding the legal limit of 30 miles per hour. The speed recorded by means of LASER was recorded as 44mph. The speed limit was signified by street lighting placed at less than 200 yard intervals. Contrary to sections 81(1) and 89(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Schedule 2 to the Road Traffic Offenders Act 1988.

Duncan was fined £333.00 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £133.00 and costs of £90.00. His driving record endorsed with 5 points.
